The Wave: Chapters 1-4
Today we started a book called The Wave by Todd Strasser
1. a-This story takes palce at Gordon High School in 1969. The main part of the story takes place in Mr. Ross'es 12th grade class.
b-You can tell that this story takes place in 1967, because there are typewrtiers at the school, they use film projectors, and Amy smokes at school.
2."As Ben looked around the room most of the students looked stuned". pg. 11, paragraph 3
This sentance stood out to me while I was reading the book because I could really picture this in my mind, I would probobly be really stunned after watching that movie, it sounded really sad when I was reading it, I can't imagine my reaction after watching it.
3. I think that this book is great so far , I want to know if you guys have any predictions on what Mr. Ross is going to do as an 'expirement' with his calss (if you've read ahead predtend like you haven't).

2) I like your comment for number 2. I heard that movie was really sad. I also cant imagine how I would react when i see the movie, probably shocked, stunned and crying.
Question) My prediction is that he is going to act like Hitler. Because when it said "a tatse of what Nazi Germany might have been like." That gave me a thought that he is going to act like Hitler and show people how he was really mean and cuel to people. But instead of using viloence he can pick on a random kid and say "you lock that kid in the closet" and stuff like that.
I like how you explaned in #2, the sentence that stood out to you and what page and paragraph it is in.
I think in mr. ross is going to have an experiment where he's going to see what the class is going to react when they are in like a natzi group kind of thing.
I like what you said aboiut question #2 I thought that the movie was really sad. It did give thhe people a surtian reaction to it you were either crying upset or just shocked. I liked what you said about it in 2.) good job! :)
My prediction is that Mr.Ross is going to have them see what is is like to be in there position (agree w/ Micheal F.) and at the eand they are going to have an idea in how it felt like in the experiment that Mr.Ross is planing to do tot the class.
