1) What would you do if you found out that you and you family were forced to leave your home without knowing?
2) Loung see's herself as a "strong person", do you agree with her?
3) When it comes to sides, do you agree with Youn Army or the Ankgar Army?
4) Kim made a decission to steal corn for his family, when he did this he knew that he was risking his life, would you so the same for your family?

1. I think that, well I know that I would really scared. I would be so scared for my life, and everyone in my family's life.
2. I do agree with her, because she has gone through so much in her life, I don't think that I could have been as strong as her.
3. I really don't agree with any side. But if I had to chose one, I think that I would go with the Youn Army, because they are being nicer to everyone.
4. I think that in a way, you would have to. If you and your family was put into that place, where you are not having much food, you would do anything to help your family.
1. I am a little confused with your question but o well. I would be mad because I would have time to pick what to take and what not to take. I would probably try to get what would help us.
2. I think she is really strong because her life has been really hard burring this book. I also think that she isn’t strong in a few ways but over all I think she is strong.

4.i would steel it so my family would have something to eat because if I was in there situation I would do anything to help my family even if it risks my life because my family is very important to me.
1. I am not really sure why Khouy is mean and "should be feared. Maybe it is because he is just one of the oldest chidren of the family and he has been through a lot.
2. If I saw strangers coming to my town I would wonder who they are and be curious. After I would find ou that they would want us to leave our city like Loung did them I would be scared and worried.
3. I think that they drove away in the pick-up truck because they had to pretend that they were peasents and not important gouverment officials so that the Khemer Rouge Army would not hurt them.
4. I think that her father is one of the leaders on a certain side of the gouvernment and they want to hurt them because they on the other side of the gouvernment, the side against the one of her father and her family.
1: I would be scared and very unprepared. Because if we just automatically had to leave I would be scared.
2: Um I agree with her half and half sort of and sort of not.
3: I do not really know which side to choose but I would choose Youn Army.
